Greg, the USB 3.0 hub patches didn't make it into 2.6.38. The hub
enumeration process should just fail because the USB core doesn't know
to ask for the new USB 3.0 hub descriptor. I'm still working out the
architecture of the USB 3.0 hub/split roothub patches with Alan Stern
(although I haven't had time recently to do a rev of the patches based
on his last suggestions).

I have no idea why the USB 3.0 devices behind that hub would work at USB
3.0 speeds on 2.6.38 if we don't have USB 3.0 hub support. Joshua, are
you sure of this? What do you consider USB 3.0 speeds? Typical speeds
are in the 100-200 MB/s range, not the 25-40 MB/s range USB 2.0
provides.
