Hi Lawrence,

I think the issues with legacy INTx occurs on some platforms when the USB3 controller shares the interrupt with other devices.  

What's motherboard you was be able to run the kernel 2.6.35.7 with CONFIG_PCI_MSI=n? Is it on the same Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3?

I've attached my starting 2.6.35.7 .config.

I also checked that running make oldconfig on this and pressing return to all changes results in:

# CONFIG_PCI_MSI is not set
