"modprobe -v option" gave no text to stdout.

"lsmod" verified that "option" was loaded.

"dmesg" gave this after a reconnection:

usb 5-7: USB disconnect, address 25
option: option_instat_callback: error -108
option1 ttyUSB0: GSM modem (1-port) converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0
option 5-7:1.0: device disconnected
option1 ttyUSB1: GSM modem (1-port) converter now disconnected from ttyUSB1
option 5-7:1.1: device disconnected
option1 ttyUSB2: GSM modem (1-port) converter now disconnected from ttyUSB2
option 5-7:1.3: device disconnected
usb 5-7: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 26
usb 5-7: New USB device found, idVendor=19d2, idProduct=2000
usb 5-7: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=1, SerialNumber=0
usb 5-7: Product: ZTE CDMA Technologies MSM
usb 5-7: Manufacturer: ZTE, Incorporated
usb 5-7: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
scsi32 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
usb-storage: device found at 26
usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
usb 5-7: usbfs: process 28251 (usb_modeswitch) did not claim interface 0
before use
usb 5-7: USB disconnect, address 26

But still the same result. The modem configures well, but does not connect.
