According to your "lsusb.txt", the switching worked just fine. The
device has changed its product ID to 0x0031.

Check if you have the "option" module available which should be bound
to the modem automatically ("modprobe -v option").
After switching, there should be lines like "GSM modem (1-port) converter detected" in the output of "dmesg".
