USB printer in /proc/bus/usb/devices, but not in /sys/bus/usb/...

Hello everybody,

I recently upgraded to debian 2.6.29-2-amd64 (which might be the cause).

I don't get a device node for my printer anymore; while dmesg shows some
messages about it being plugged in (or out) and it's listed in
/proc/bus/usb/devices, there's no information for it below /sys/bus/usb/.

usblp is loaded.

I couldn't get the bind files to work:
  echo 2.8 > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usblp/bind
/bin/echo: write error: No such device
Neither with 2-8.

What can I do to diagnose that a bit further, or possibly just get that to work
again?

Regards,

Phil
