quick basic, maybe silly queston?

Yes, the linux kernel has had reliable read/write fat32 support for a
good while now. Note though that checking a fat32 file system under
gnu/linux, and fixing any errors that are found is a different story, but reading/writing isn't a
problem. Hth.
