shared library for espeak

Chuck,

I would suggest, rather than moving the shared libary, update
the load library path, since moving the library caused this
strange phenomenon.

It seems like JACK created a shared memory device, perhaps
due to the movement of the shared library? Would have to look
at source to understand why it did that, but try just updating the
path that the loader looks at to find its libraries instead ...
