-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi people, I have removed my Debian packages for espeak and speech-dispatcher, and installed the more current espeak 1.28 from sources, and speech-dispatcher 6.3 from a cvs tarball. I have the combination working, but only by using speak instead of espeak. It turns out I needed to move libespeak.so.1.28 to somewhere it could be found, and I chose /usr/local/lib. I then ran ldconfig, and entered this: cq:~# espeak "hello world" JACK tmpdir identified as [/dev/shm] cq:~# It took about five or six seconds for espeak to say "hello world" and I get this strange message from JACK. Can someone please help me figure out what's happening here? Do I need to do something else with that espeak shared library? Many thanks.
