It's not obvious from the initialization code, but the
two arrays are, in fact, not sparse.

au_io_in_map  has entries for 0-6.
au_io_out_map has entries for 0-4.

The problem comes from UART_SCR = 7
(And I thought there might be a related issue with UART_EFR = 2)
