The problem is that I downloaded the FreeDOS shell and Arachne (.exe files) and moved them into what I think is the virtual c: drive : home/stegozor/.dosemu/drives/c is a link that points to /home/stegozor/dosemu/dosemu/freedos, so I put the files there. Unfortunately, a little ls from gnome terminal shows them, but not a dir from the DOS prompt.
What's wrong? Any help would be more than welcome. TIA.

Well, as a workaround, I fetched dosemu-1.3.3-1.110asp.i386.rpm and used alien to get a .deb copy. This latter version works fine, I see .exe files I copied in C:\. I was able to run both FreeDOS Shell (http://fdshell.sourceforge.net/) and Arachne. The funny thing is that when I launch Arachne, I have two pointers moving, one from gnome and the other one from Arachne. Apart from that, "alienized" dosemu seems to work fine so far.
