Device names in sysfs

Hi All,

I've updated the iio-utils at sf.net to work with the new ABI (iio in /sys/bus). The ring buffer support is still experimental.

When I compared the IIO structure in sysfs with other busses I found that most others name their devices after the bus:

/sys/bus/spi/devices/spi0.0/
/sys/bus/mmc/devices/mmc0:0001/

Maybe we should do this for IIO too:

/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio0
/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio0:buffer0

The reason behind this is, that mdev creates the devices directly under /dev:

/dev/device0:buffer0:access0

So it's not clear that the devices belong to IIO.

Regards,
