It is not that progress is not there, but progress is slow, because the 
amount of information that's to be seen is quite less.

I do agree that the API issues should be addressed first, but i would 
term this as a chicken and egg situation, where one needs the driver to 
test it as well (the features added in to the API)

The mentioned features (marked TODO) currently are not handled by 
either of the drivers, as far as i can say.
