I have been using Roger's replacement version of xc3028_DTV7_2633.i2c.fw (original file + xc3028.au.fw - 1 byte). I was experimenting with capturing my own firmware about a week ago but gave that up when I was not making any progress.
Hi Daniel, in case of the xc3028-tuner the base firmware is a mixture of "the real base firmware" and device specific settings, in case of the format specific firmwares there are extra firmwares for australia available, I received a patch for adding full firmware 2.5 support for Geniatech devices (in the end it won't help much for your device) and read some comments about it in the code. + {BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ ,"xc3028_8MHz_init0.i2c.fw", "xc3028_DTV78_2620.i2c.fw" },//fw25 Germany,Spain +// {BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ ,"xc3028_8MHz_init0.i2c.fw", "xc3028_DTV8_2620.i2c.fw" },//fw25 UK, France + {BANDWIDTH_7_MHZ ,"xc3028_8MHz_init0.i2c.fw", "xc3028_DTV78_2620.i2c.fw" },//fw25 Germany,Spain +// {BANDWIDTH_7_MHZ ,"xc3028_8MHz_init0.i2c.fw", "xc3028_DTV7_2620.i2c.fw" },//fw25 Australia + {BANDWIDTH_6_MHZ ,"xc3028_init0.i2c.fw", "xc3028_DTV6_QAM_2620.i2c.fw"},//fw25Taiwan the problem are the device specific settings, not all manufacturers will tell us the correct settings so this is the first specific part we usually have. you need to have some luck if you're able to get it work with some other firmwares. Anyway do you know the exact difference between DVB-T in Australia and other countries?
