Hi Markus,

Is the extra 125kHz offset band specific or regional specific for certain
frequencies (it seems almost random)?

no this is firmware specific, firmware version 2.5 should always have
the same offset, most devices should use firmware 2.4 or firmware 2.7
though

Regarding the firmware I believe that
for Australia we should be able to use any xc3028 firmware which will work with
the board by appending, minus the first byte, my xc3028.au.fw file to the 7MHz
firmware file and using that as the 7MHz file. (ie we're probably not tied to
firmware_v3.tgz if there's something better which will work with the Dual
Digital 4).

as far as I've seen there's some australia specific firmware
available, so we're not going the wrong way.
The problem is that we have no documentation about specific settings
for your device. Daniel just took the firmware which he captured from
the USB bus, which is the easiest solution to get a step forward. Next
step would be to ask Dvico if they could send us the firmware
hexfiles..
The firmwares are bound to the devices since they also contain device
specific settings.

Markus
