the quest continues...

I have a system, that works perfectly now.
It's an Intel p4 ~3GHz, HT, 32bit with Suse 10.1.

It's a noisy server, so I dont want vdr to stay on this machine.
That's why I tried to switch mobo/vga of the two systems.

-> problem there again - on both machines!

What I tried upto now:

Core2 Duo + Suse 10.2 64bit: bad
Core2 Duo + Suse 10.2 64bit with hg dvb (various): bad
Core2 Duo + Suse 10.2 32bit: bad
Core2 Duo + Suse 10.2 with vanilla kernel: bad
Core2 Duo + Suse 10.1 32bit: bad
P4 HT + Suse 10.1 32bit: GOOD
P4 HT + Suse 10.2 32bit: bad
P4 HT + Suse 10.2 32bit with vanilla kernel: bad

So, it seems its a problem with the combination of Processor (Core2 Duo never
worked) and kernel or kernel config (P4 HT does not always work).

Maybe it isn't DVB related and DVB just suffers from it...

Anyways, I'm still hoping for ideas...

Cheers, Joachim
