Someone told me that the driver probably tries both frontends because 
it's not sure what card it is (the lspci output suggests it's 
either "rev1.3 or rev1.5", so it'd fit that the driver tries both 
stv0299 and ves1x93).

If that's true I take it there's no use changing or cleaning up 
anything.
