This is not correct. In some countries, the transmitters have a frequency offset
This affects all receivers the same way. The point is that some channel decoders
can compensate this while the current driver for the tda10046 can not. I intend
to change this.
The funny thing is that it was reported that some cards (drivers) don't work
with the correct frequency.
I might try it in a winodze box to compare before I spill out the cash for
a signal amplifier. They cost almost as much as a new card!
Under the exact same hardware setup, the card works perfectly under Win2k,
with the supplied software. (I had to try the supplied drivers just to make
sure that the card wasn't faulty)
Mind you tight arses like myself often neglect to stop & think about how
much the time costs stuffing around trying to make the unworkable work...
for the sake of a few bucks...
Yes, well, I've been known to spend less on one thing, only ending up spending
heaps more in both money and time to get a workable system :-S
Please check your config file. If you are not sure about FEC and guard interval,
set them to auto. If this doesn't help, try to add or subtract 167kHz from the
channel frequencies.
