If I remember correctly, it doesn't happen with the twinhan-exp branch.

I think there are two cases:

- the system has a phantastic uptime of more than 4-5 days ;)
  
  When VDR refuses to zap between the channels, then I'll know the time
  has come to power off

- switching between different/new releases of kernel and/or modules

  After installing a new kernel, a simple reboot showed the boot messages
  mentioned above

But with twinhan-exp the problems have disappeared!
