Im using a twinhan DVB-S card and plain 2.6.11.5. The patch fixed the 
freezng for me.  :)

Now, can anyone help with this... Im not the most knowledgable person n 
Linux DVB, so this might be some stupid thing I did, but I get an error 
when I try to load the dvb modules. I compiled all the frontend modules 
the menu would let me have (for satellite).

Here's what I get:
