I used to think exactly the same, but think it can be learned. My
opinion changed after seeing Omar Rodriguez Lopez Band mixed by ZZ Top's
sound engineer using Line6 Stagescape located on stage and an ipad on
wifi. One of the best sounds I have ever heard at our venue. And
complete band setup and soundcheck took less than an hour.
