In the background of a simple, but nice pop song there might be some sequence including a special kind of "room reverb". An audio engineer isn't always a savant and able to count how many early reflections were played, but an engineer does know that a reverb does provide options such as setting values for the early reflection or simply how much delay there should be before the reverb starts playing. A musician even might be confused, if the delay of a reverb is to asynchronous, while a non-musician wouldn't notice it. The difference between a good professional recording and a less good home recording often isn't the less good audio quality, but the drum machine that isn't optimal tuned and something similar. Experienced people notice such an issue, inexperienced people might notice a difference, but are unable to explain what is different. _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
