Thats exactly it. Think if you really can't afford a better device. Its just not worth to invest your money in bad hardware, no matter how low the price is. The phasex24 is around 100€ now, but you have to invest at least 300 or better 400 to get something decent and if you want to have something for real: 

I've gone all through this. I talk from experience. If I just simply had the vision, 6 years ago "I'll buy something from RME for 800€ to 900€ even if it sounds like much money" it would be even cheaper than buying midclass hardware and upgrade just to the next level if its not enough.

Sound is not a graphic card. Buy one now, it will last for many years. I know people who have bought an RME card 15 years ago and it still works like on the first day.
