Okay, except I saw that same message (PME# disabled) on another device
(I think -- the sound card) that came up fine anyway.  I was wondering
about IRQ conflicts, of course, so I tried two things:

- changing the IRQ with setserial - no effect
- changing the IRQ by changing the PCI slot - no effect

Joel,
still at a loss for what the problem is....
