1. sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf;

2. sudo /etc/init.d/sl-modem-daemon restart
Shutting down SmartLink Modem driver normally.
Unloading modem driver from kernel ... slamr.
Starting SmartLink Modem driver for: slamr0.
Creating /dev/modem symlink, pointing to: /dev/ttySL0.
3. sudo wvdial

I have a question: How do I "turn off" the modem when I'm done using the
internet?
I noticed that I can do a Ctrl-C to cancel, but doing a sudo wvdial
afterwards gives:

It seems that if I'm going to do a Ctrl-C to disconnect the modem, i
need to do a
sudo /etc/init.d/sl-modem-daemon restart
and then
sudo wvdial
