Have you perhaps forgotten to add a line
Carrier Check  =  no

in the file /etc/wvdial.conf which you are using now ?

To help us help you, can you please confirm that you use the command
sudo wvdial   ?
This command uses the modem configuration file /etc/wvdial.conf
And can you please include the file /etc/wvdial.conf in your mail (hide the password)?
Without that it is very difficult to guess what you are doing.

Please check that your configuration file you copied to us is located
at /etc/wvdial.conf
if not copy it there with:
$ sudo cp wvdial.conf  /etc/wvdial.conf

During the test you reported, wvdial seems to be readinga file at
/etc/wvdial.conf
which hasn't been edited to remove the at least some of the symbols ; < >
Check with:
$ cat /etc/wvdial.conf
to display the file.

Oops,

Sorry I overlooked it :(

Try commenting ";" adding a ";" before Stupid Mode = yes, and see if
that makes  a difference?

Antonio

Rami,

Try to add a line to /etc/wvdial.conf file:

Carrier Check = no;

and see if you can connect.
