Ibahim

Please send emails to the List, not directly to me, as others are more
skilled with the 11c11040 chipset modem.

But from your record, the critical failure was at:
FATAL: Error inserting agrmodem
(/lib/modules/2.6.31-17-generic/updates/dkms/agrmodem.ko): Unknown
symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

Though I lack the modem hardware, this modules loading was successful
on my System, also under a 2.6.31-17-generic bootup:
----------
Loading drivers:

Drivers loaded:
agrserial 12032 0
agrmodem 1250948 1
snd_hda_codec 75708 3 agrmodem,snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_hda_intel
snd 59204 19
agrmodem,snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_hwdep,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_seq_oss,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq,snd_timer,snd_seq_device
--------------

so the failure on your System is perplexing, UNLESS perhaps you used
the wrong code package.
The complete package name is agrsm-11c11040_20091225_i386.deb

Please check against the name of the package you installed and report back.
