GNOME PPP: STDERR: --> Disconnecting at Tue Jan 12 10:56:41 2010 pedeli@pedeli-desktop:~$ more questions: 1) i want to install stuff through the synaptic, but nothing i type (vlc, kwrite, inkscape, greek for openoffice) in the search is to be found. what am i doing wrong? what do i have to change in the synaptics? 2) i cannot see the internet activity (neither in the applet nor on the system monitor; it says "0bytes received, 0bytes sent" even though i know the connection is on heavy duty. 3) after the update i have two "types" of 2.6.31 plus my 2.6.28-16 (that i installed in order for the slamr to function). Do i need all of them to appear at the grub menu? how do i change the order of the boot? i hope i am more analytic this time concerning my questions thanks basilis
