In light of Zsolt's recent packages, the 11c11040 HOWTO has essentially
become deprecated for any kernel > 2.6.24.

Sina,
Please restore the original sound modules that shipped with your kernel.
(ie. copy back the originals if you made a backup, or reinstall the
relevant kernel packages via YAST if you did not.) You do not need to
modify the sound drivers for recent versions of the modem package.

I shall put together a source package for you (and others) that has
worked successfully on my machine (openSuSE 11.1 as well, same modem).
I will try to get it together tonight and have it to you by this time
tomorrow. (sending is slow as I am on dial-up, and the source is ~500KB)

Cheers,
Bjorn.
