In reply to Marvin S message:
tried:- $sudo modprobe agrserial - No reaction, went back to prompt.
checked /etc/wvdial.conf all details were syill there, (I'd copy and
pasted the text from the agrsm package)
tried sudo wvdial
 -->WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.60
 -->Cannot open /dev/ttySAGR3 : No such file or directory. (3 times)
I looked in /dev/ there was no such file.
one of the earlier instructions was to add a line of text to
/udev/rules/10.local_rules (think that was the name of the file) The first
Item on the line was KERNEL=ASG[0-9] Is that correct? I also read the
"readme" file in /udev/ there is no mention of files starting "10---"
There is so much hand-written text that it appears very easy to make a
mistake.
