I've dual-installed Xubuntu 8.04 on my PC alongside Win 98. Broadband internet access is not available where iI am so I'm trying to get my dial-up modem operating with Xubuntu. I downloaded agrsm-ubuntu8.04.1-2.6.24-19-generic.tar.gz from the Linmodem website using win 98 which is still working (just) put it on a usb stick and transferred it to xubuntu where I put it in the home directory. I've unpacked it using " tar xzvf agrsm8.04.1-2.6.24-19-generic.tar.gz ". I read the text files contained and tried " sudo ./setup " which came back "no command" or something similar, so I tried " sudo agrsm8.04.1-2.6.24-19-generic/setup " which tried to set the files up but couldn't. See attached text copy of what was on terminal. http://www.nabble.com/file/p24454815/agrsm-inst agrsm-inst -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Agrsm-for-Xubuntu-8.04-kernel-2.6.24-19-tp24454815p24454815.html Sent from the Linux Winmodem Support - Discussion mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
