Martin,

I have the same modem on three emachines that I have.  I installed
Fedora 10 x86_64 and whatever chance they had of working decipated
because I chose x86_64.  I guess you lose nothing except time if you
try compiling the agrsm-20080418.tar.gz.  Backup everything that you
have that is important and if you feel like giving it a chance go
ahead and try.  I am going to be honest here, if you have a livecd you
should not run into trouble.  Something like Slax Live Cd or the PC
LinuxOS cd running in Live Mode and trying it out like that.  If it
works and you can dialout, then install it.  The risk would be less.
