Modem Lucent for Ubuntu 8.10

I installed Ubuntu 8.10 which driver can I use for my modem lucent?

 Only plain text email is forwarded by the  DISCUSS@xxxxxxxxxxxxx List Server.
 Do use the following as the email Subject Line:
           SomeName, YourCountry Ubuntu 8.04  kernel 2.6.24-16-generic
