Dear Jacques,

(you can call me Rainer), 
Thank you for your letter, I learned a lot.
I sent my scanmodemfile to you one month ago. I needed that
time to learn Linux-commands and many things like vi editor,
and to read and try to understand all the files produced
by scanmodem.

The Elsa modem is nicely connected, as it works with
less advanced commercial software. I tried to use the 
Elsa modem with the modem button on the graphic 
surface of Ubuntu. If I use wvdial, do I have to do
some additional configuration other than editing
wvdial.conf ?
