Hi,
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook and scanmodem tool tells me I have an ALI
5451 but does not output any instructions as to what to do to get it
working. I'm attaching the scanModem output.
Also, looking at /proc/asound/card0/codec97#0/mc97#1-1 it gives:

There are no blacklisted modem drivers in /etc/modprobe* files
The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) packages providing audio support,
also includes drivers for some modems. The ALSA diagnostics are written during
bootup to /proc/asound/ folders.
The ALSA verion is 1.0.14
The modem cards detected by "aplay -l" are:
