Andrew
The Smartlink.txt has automation instructions.But since you are online you can:$ sudo apt-get update$ apt-cache show sl-modem-daemonfor info$ apt-cache install sl-modem-daemonwill install automation scripts
But afterwards$ sudo mv /usr/sbin/slmodemd /usr/sbin/slmodemd.oldand again copy the slmodemd from my SLMODEMD package to/usr/sbin/slmodemd inorder to maintain the newest version 2.9.11 code
Then make settings:SLMODEMD_DEVICE=hw:0,1OPTS="-s"
with$ sudo gedit /etc/default/sl-modem-daemon
Then next time your boot up, there should already be created: /dev/ttySL0 --> /dev/pts/N
Report back if there is a problem.
