$ tar -zxvf ungrab-winmodem-20070505.tar.gz
$ su
$ cd ungrab-winmodem-20070505
$ make 
$ make install
$ exit

Become superuser
$ su -
password
# modprobe ungrab-winmodem
# modprobe slamr
# slmodemd -c 

If you did all of this as you might already have,
please run modprobe ungrab-winmodem before modprobe
slamr.  Send any messages that you obtain.
