Re: Problem with Motorola SM56 / Smartlink SL?

As far as I remember, ungrab-winmodems always used to write this message!

Isamar,

We have had at least two successes with the 20070505 patched code
providing support for the 057:3052 Motorola chipset, both with more
recent kernels than 2.6.12-12mdk-150407. Check the message URLs for
details. Zello merely put the 1057:3052 recognition lines in the
slamr code and it miraculously worked!!! (and without ungrab-winmodem
required under a 2.6.21? kernel (which didn't require
ungrab-winmodem). The other cases with 2.620 kernels did.

The problem here:
-------------------------
First I loaded the "ungrab-winmodem" module, I get
this message:
device 1057:3052 is grabbed by driver serial: try to
release
----------------------
seems to be that ungrab-winmodem is failing to release the serial driver.
SInce ungrab-winmodem is working with more recent kernels, this seems
to be a kernel-version related problem.

Alvaro,
Could you look into this as ungrab-winmodem worked on your System
