Hi! I got a modem without manual, I couldn't figure out its brand nor its chipset. So I downloaded the "scanModem" script from linmodem.org. I included the "ModemData.txt" file, if you want to check it out. But I think it told me to try the Smartlink driver. So I get "ungrab-winmodem-20070505" and "slmodem-2.9.11-20070505", and compiled it without errors (as far as I know). First I loaded the "ungrab-winmodem" module, I get this message: device 1057:3052 is grabbed by driver serial: try to release Then I loaded "slamr debug=3". I get this message: slamr: module license 'Smart Link Ltd.' taints kernel. slamr: SmartLink AMRMO modem. slamr: probe 1057:3052 SL1900 card... The "scanModem" script told me I can use Motorola drivers instead, but when I read the Motorola document created by the script, I find that my modem --is-- supported for the Smartlink driver (somebody named Zello said that, at least). So, ¿what I'm doing wrong? ¿Or must I search in other place? Thanks for your time. Hugo S. Cardozo __________________________________________________ Correo Yahoo!
