Jacques, Fair enough. I understand that you (and the list) are only a source of information and not in a position to provide buying advice/decisions. I really appreciate all your hard work and the work of those who maintain the Modem Database website. I was hoping that someone else on the list might be in my position: need a modem for Linux and willing to buy anything on the market. The Modem Database is fantastic if you already have a modem and want to know if it is supported, but it is less suited to finding a list of supported modems that are available from reputable vendors. I'll keep searching and let you (and the list) know what I come up with. That way if someone else is building a Linux system and wants to buy a new modem they'll know of at least one viable option.
