Hi, first I apologize for posting on an unrealte reply, mymistake. Now what I need to know is the Linux is able to do the same as Windows Media Server on a server.

Please try to start a new thread next time.

Not exactly sure what you mean by a server.

If you have Xine installed, you should be able to play a *.wmv file with KDE, IF you have the actual Windows DLL or CODEC in the: "/usr/lib/win32" directory.
