I support John's proposal for approving a one-time exception document to 
eventually be published as a BCP.

(I have more concerns about Pete's proposal.  IMO even if it's done at 
all, it should not be done hurriedly and should definitely not be a 
pacing item for making a one-time exception to nomcom eligibility rules).
