Actually no, the text does not refer to IETF documents. But that could be misunderstood because of the subject line I used or because of the thread the message was posted on. I did not provide a reference to the I-D. That omission leaves room for misunderstandings. For what it is worth, the I-D is not about RFC formats. The context would have been less ambiguous if I had provided the name of the I-D.

Any misunderstanding should be attributed to a failure on my side.
