Brian makes the basic point here - the IPR implications come from making a contribution, not from being listed as a contributor (IPR lawyers know how to read mailing lists, Internet drafts and meeting minutes so are not dependent on someone being labeled - but having a label attached may make it easier to explain to a judge/jury) Scott
