No Covered Individual shall discriminate against or treat any person with whom they deal unequally because of race, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, marital status, religion, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry or any other status protected by applicable laws. all the IETF participants are required to respect marital status between not only same sex but also a man and a or four nine years old women, as long as such marriage is a status "protected by applicable laws".
