Re: GK Behind Router

It's possible that you have more than one trouble, so verify
that when NetworkInterfaces=10.0.0.23/24,81.32.50.208/0 the gk
is still failing to put its public address into the appropriate
fields of the RCF.

Make sure that the gk is really reading the config file that
you are editing, by examining the trace or status console.

If you have checked the above, you can be reasonably confident
that the gk is not working as it should. One possibility is
that running behind a NAT doesn't work properly in Windows --
do you have a linux box or a Mac that you can try? Another is
that your image is somehow miscompiled.

Can you test your gk directly on your public IP? If so,
and it works ok, perhaps you can install another NIC to connect
to your LAN, and have the gk machine also serve as the NAT
(Internet Connection Sharing).

Sorry, I'm running out of ideas.

Hi Stewart,
I have set up the networkInterfaces as you told me and in any other way.
(for example 81.32.50.208/0 or "/24" or "/32" or without "/")

I'm using the version 2.2.3-2 and 2.0.9 with same results.

The RRQ packet when arrives at the gk is a
   UDP destAdd=10.0.0.23 destPort=1719 sourceAdd=62.102.107.32.
   H225 : RRQ
       callSignalAddress...TransportAddress...ipAddress=62.102.107.32 and
port
       1720

I have also tried several router/nat:
   SONICWALL model=TZ 170 this is a router + nat + firewall that
     acknowledge voip (h323 and sip)
clearly, i have tried working with either firewall and h323
functionality off.

AETHRA this is a router+nat for h323 too (...but this is cheaper)

U.S. ROBOTICS this is a generic router + nat for home users.

I turn off the windows firewall and the telefony service on my windows xp
machine.

anyway,
Thank you stewart.

                       -Luca-
