I experience no problems at all compiling OpenLDAP into PWLib on Windows.

BTW Why do you need to parse ASN stuff? I think it's enough to retrieve
LDAP objects/attributes by their ids using a standard LDAP API.

The ASN1 files provides the OID's as well as the data structure in the LDAP directory. It's far easier to parse the ASN1 files to produce the required code to handle the data structure than to manually code. The OpenH323 ASNParser gets stuck in the OID's but however I have now generated C++ using ASN1C.  I got code for H350.1 H350.2  H350.4, H350.6 and the supporting X500, X509 & X520.

Regarding ETA - I'm not an LDAP specialist, so it's up to other people
to contribute/maintain this. Another option is that when all other urgent things
are done I can try to fix this.

I'm not an specialist either but am very keen to get it done. I'm just hoping, I find the time to read the standard, digest the generated C++ and do a lot of googling will make it happen. :)
