Yes, I'm testing and developing minio/gluster as a replacement for Riak/Riak-CS. Minio seems pretty simple to operate thus far.

Presently. there's an Erasure Code storage backend that is limited to a single Minio instance at this time.

Distributed ("multi-instance") EC backend is WIP:

Having an Amazon S3 compatible object store could be great in some environments
