Years ago, there was talk of switching to Guile, since that's what the GNU people were (are?) pushing as the language for scripting applications. I don't recall ever seeing why that was rejected, but talk of replacing SIOD with Guile just kind of died. Does anyone know any good reasons why Guile would be an inappropriate choice for replacing SIOD?
