Why remove it now? Benign neglect. The set of packages the contain the stock command line utilities for X were sort of handwaved into existence. We don't really know what set of them get used on any regular basis, but we pretty strongly suspect most of them never get used. See above. I mean, we installed texteroids in every RHL, RHEL <= 4, and FC <= 4, but that doesn't mean it was ever necessary or appreciated. Personally I don't care either way.
