If this signature is really spurious then it should not be there and I do not think that anything will be lost although I cannot tell for sure in all situations. I am not that familiar with details of such setups. In any case, if this is _really_ what you are looking at, then 'dmraid -E -r ...' makes a backup, in root $HOME AFAICT, of metadata removed. Proceed with caution but I, for one, am quite interest in what you will find.
